Now according to Merriam-Webster, there are two definitions one is a branch of computer science dealing with the simulation of intelligent behavior in computers and the second is the capability of a machine to imitate intelligent human behavior. Most people either think of a computer that can think and reason to make the right chose as if it is human. Or it is a robot that looks and feels like a human with self-thinking, and constant advancement in it’s thinking. People only think this way because of movies and television has influenced their thinking.
If AI is an item that can complete a task that a human can do. Would mean as in humans there are different levels of intelligence, so AI would also have different levels. A lower form of AI would be a calculator which with proper input can complete mathematical problems the same as a human. Same as a computer or smartphone when input words, and a lower level of AI corrects them faster then I can misspell them. Higher levels would be the computers that can perform face and retinal recognition that can be done by humans, which humans would take a much longer time to complete this task.

Throughout all the research with some advancements and disappointments, there is still a constant flow of research to reach the full ability of AI. As with anything, there are always people that will argue that AI is not good, immoral, and unachievable. Even with the research, it will be a long before the final goal completed. The purpose of finding the proper definition of the human cognitive mind and how it works would be a significant breakthrough. At that point, making AI able to think like a human may be obtainable.
