Christmas Food In Viet Culture
This is about the different and similar Christmas foods that I eat during Christmas in a Vietnamese family, February, 2026
Pho is a special noodle soup that Vietnamese people can eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner
Pho is very special in my heart just because I can eat it any time of the day. However, the special aspect about Pho, is that my family and other vietnamese families eat it during christmas. While we drink eggnog, eat cookies and other "American" christmas foods, we also try to stay true to our viet traiditions and foods! Pho is not only warm for your stomach but the taste of it lingers with me even after Christmas is over.
Spring Rolls

Spring Rolls are one of the most popular foods to eat in Vietnam, and we make it for Christmas!
Spring Rolls are made by wrapping rice paper around your choice of filling. Filling is usually made of pork, shrimp, crab, and other meats, vegetables and noodles. On Christmas, it is usually a full spread and we are free to choose whatever filling we would like in our spring rolls. It is not only convient to eat as all you need to learn is how to wrap the rice paper, but it is also delicious.
