PC Building
Parts of the PC, March 14, 2026
To build a computer, you need a few main "organs" that work together to run your favorite games or school apps:
- The Case (The Skin): This is the metal box that holds everything together and keeps the parts safe.
- The Motherboard (The Nervous System): This is a big circuit board that acts like a map. It connects all the other parts so they can talk to each other.
- The CPU (The Brain): Short for Central Processing Unit. It does all the thinking and tells the other parts what to do.
- The RAM (Short-term Memory): This helps the computer remember what it is doing right now, like keeping your game running smoothly.
- The Storage/SSD (Long-term Memory): This is where the computer saves your photos, games, and homework even when it’s turned off.
- The GPU (The Artist): The Graphics Card is responsible for drawing the pictures you see on the screen. It's very important for video games!
- The Power Supply (The Heart): This plugs into the wall and pumps electricity to all the other parts so they have the energy to work.
