A 3.4 Million Problem
Blindness, or visual imparement is noted by one's lacking sight. The problems of blindness are a vast scale and effect on people varies. There are several versions such as complete blindness, which is incredibly rare; congenital blindless, which is a problem one is born with; and legal blindness when one's vision is 20/200. In the United States alone there are 3.4 million people who are legally blind and it is estimated to be 43 million world wide. Blindness can be caused by eye injury where the optical nerve is damaged or if the eye is damaged. Disease can also cause blindness.
