The 8 Planets

In order from the Sun, the planets are:

1. Mercury — The smallest planet and closest to the Sun.

2. Venus — The hottest planet in our solar system.

3. Earth — Our home! The only planet known to have life.

4. Mars — Known as the Red Planet.

5. Jupiter — The largest planet with a giant storm called the Great Red Spot.

6. Saturn — Famous for its beautiful rings made of ice and rock.

7. Uranus — Spins on its side!

8. Neptune — The windiest planet and farthest from the Sun.
